About:
BCHS Robotics is a THIRD year VEX Robotics Competition (VRC) Team out of Bethlehem, NY. The Co-Curricular Club currently consists of high school teams (12054). Each team consists of dedicated members, most of whom are enrolled in STEAM electives throughout the school day and aim to better their technological and engineering skills. Purpose:
The club participates in VRCs, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition (REC) Foundation, where teams of students are tasked with designing, building, programming, and testing robots to play against other teams in a game-based engineering challenge. VRC is the largest robotics competition in the world*. Classroom STEAM concepts are put to the test on the playing field as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more. Tournaments are held year-round at the regional, state, and national levels. Each season starts in late-May and competitions run from mid-November to late-March. |
